My anti-military thread..

If I take as a given the need for a state, and the need for things like borders, then a defensive military is superficially desirable. However, I do not take those things as given.

Well it is a given because we are the human animal and no matter how much we like to think that we are above wild animals, we fail to escape our baser instincts. We are territorial creatures and unfortunately, human nature plays a role in the way we progress.

We will always need to have a method to defend ourselves as long as humans have wants and greed.
