We were waiting for Trak reset to get FTE so we could engage.

We thought we had it; we were wrong.

It is just as retarded to DA stall for 20 seconds or do a third of the damage to Trak with the same number of people and act like TMO is a paragon of Trakanon killing. If GMs want to change the rules, they should change them. Until then, there is nothing wrong with turning in items before a GM ruling is made just like there is nothing wrong with shitting up the raid scene with stalling tactics that pretty much always amount to some complication like this.

You're right, except that just because I'm in TMO doesn't automatically mean I've 100% agreed on everything we've done in our long raid history here. Way to generalize all TMO into one neat little package.

What's the difference between kiting a dragon and DA tanking a dragon to hold agro?

Aren't both really just an attempt to FTE while stalling and giving your raid time to prepare?

Why is this allowed to occur if the raidforce is not ready to engage immediately? Doesn't it just breed confusion and contempt such as this?

I remember when Zeelot first brought this notion of DA tanking Trak to the server, and this conversation occured, but I'm a little fuzzy as to why the GMs allow it and say that it is viable?

On another note, TMO also did this with ranger epics (see Xanthias) on quest pieces they ninja'd that TR had FTE too according to GM rule, and the item was said that it could not be returned due to the quest already being completed. Same thing will probably happen here.

Should give the people that rush to do this sort of garbage a suspension though IMO. Should do the same for anyone Kiting or DA tanking dragons to stall so a raid can be ready too, but I guess that's common sense that just isn't so common.

I would be glad to see the GMs make a stand on both of these issues, but it would have to be before the fact. When BDA absorbed the VD people, they tried to be nice and reason with TMO and the staff to make the server better. They failed. FE rose out of this; if the rules of the game that TMO has abused for so long are to be swept away now that another guild feeds them the same shit they have been feeding everyone for so long, we would like a little heads up first.

Kiting can indefinitely hold the dragon. DA tanking/positioning is limited in duration.
