Only one person has said no so I think the outcome is pretty clear.

Question to Devs: How hard is it to code in yellow text for the next patch? I assume it is relatively easy right? I just feel like its such a simple thing to do that would make a lot of people happy and bring back a few players and cant understand why it has not been added yet. I know you guys are really busy and have real lives outside of this emulator but can we get any word of if you guys would consider adding this feature in with the next patch?

It isn't coding or the complication of implementing that is holding this up. They just haven't decided to do it for whatever reason. Most likely if it doesn't happen we will never know why.

yup and i can assure you they have been keeping it a secret from Nilbog and the rest of the server. luckily my pal in Nihilum spilled the beans and I confirmed what was going on with a level 1 alt. at this point the end-game on red is full of boxing/hacking/exploiting and its not something I want to be a part of.

Patching in a server wide message that gets the player's name and "You have slain" 's name in the same string is serious business.

This shit is written entirely in assembly language.

Who knows where the stack and frame pointers are at any given instance.
