WoW is such a cesspool now. I was in closed beta. I skipped school on the Tuesday before thanksgiving to grab WoW from my local EB on the first morning it was out. Such a sad regression it's been.
You just "random dungeon queue" your way from 10-X. Speak to no one. Everyone you group with in dungeons are from different servers, anyway, so your chance of seeing them again randomly is low. BG's become a grind for the most recently high-end gear available and rarely fun after the novelty wears (and you sink an hour into a BG loss because everyone just runs around to get kills like an idiot instead of playing defense, all for a single BG point).
It's all grind with little to none of the social interaction magic that EQ provides. Zero non-troll community. It's just a totally automated experience now.

on populated server, 75% of my dungeon queues have 2-3 other people from my server. BGs dont take an hour, what the fuck. Cross Realm Zones have rekindled world PvP, had about a 20 man skirmish over a newbie questing area the other day while doing stuff.
also in a 600 man guild so /shrug. mileage may vary.
