Next time put some forethought into your decisions....

You purposely deleted your chars, with the expectation that the staff would restore them.

On top of server stability issues, bugs, velious and whatever else they may have going on, they get the pleasure of dealing with this type of crap.

Irrelevant. The "offer" came after the fact.

The guy deleted his char on purpose with the expectation of getting it restored.
When it wasn't restored, he then posted that his petitions were ignored and he was going to quit.... his post wasn't to say goodbye to "all his friends", it was a post for attention.

Actually I didn't delete them thinking anyone was going to restore. When I decided to come back I started over but friends told me I should ask to have my old characters restored so I did. At that point I was told it was doable so I had reasonable expectations it would be done at some point. After several months of waiting around I figured it wasn't going to happen so I was ready to move on.

I'm not sure what your problem but I assure you if Rogean didn't feel like restoring my toons he wouldn't have...and I wouldn't have blamed him.

Everyone,

First of all I love this game and this server. I appreciate all of those people in the community and on the dev/operations team that make Project 1999 thrive. However, I think this is it for me. Early this year I had deleted my characters (dumb I know) in order too keep me focused on my degree but after I graduated this spring I found myself wanting to play again. I petitioned to have my characters restored, something I was told was doable, and patiently waited. I have patiently waited for 5 months now without a peep from anyone on when this will be done. It is evident that this isn't going to happen and since I am not willing to start from scratch I guess it is off to greener pastures for me. Thanks to all who helped along the way and made this game so fun for so many.

And if you had already started a new char, and your friend told you that you might be able to recover your deleted characters,,,, did you honestly quit playing for 5 months while waiting? And if you say yes, I have to ask again,,, REALLY?

Honestly, it's great that Rogean was kind enough to restore your characters. However when someone delete's something, there should be no expectation of getting it back, regardless of what your friends told you. Which if you read carefully, was my whole point.

So yes, you were posting here to get noticed. You wanted your chars restored and your thread wasn't getting the attention it needed in the petition forum.
