Yar, bit of a thread necro, but even the best roots hit a 98% resist rate at 125 mr.

Which is achievable using 70 (Group Resist Magic), 85 (Resist Magic), 101 (Shield of Magi), or 125mr from gear.

Or using 224mr from gear if you are buffless and debuffed with malosini and tashanian.

GRM is giving more mr than a single cast MR, not sure if thats what you meant but i might be reading this wrong.

So simplyfied, if you have 125mr you get 98% resist vs root, period

So currently on R99, there is essentially a soft cap of 125 on all resists or just MR?

Or was this just a hypothetical scenario?
