GW 2 is a lot different from GW. GW wasn't an MMO, but had very good pvp and class balance. All the skills/spells were very carefully implemented and were not over or under powered. I think GW2 has a chance to raise the MMO bar a bit. I will find out next week on 8/25.

Pretty sure Titan is going to be a more easier mainstream mmo. Blizzard can just keep updating the game engine like they do with every expansion and make the graphics more current. The only thing that could get old with wow is needing to target someone to attack, but doesn't look like that mmo game mechanic is going anywhere any time soon.

Also SWToR pretty much failed because of the piss poor modded hero engine. Ability delay because some animations last longer then the GCD?!?!! Like if you try to cast a instant spell cast before waiting for the last ability animation to complete it will just eat the GCD and not cast the instant spell. Even if you would make a block animation and casted before you waited for it to finish it would do the same thing. You gotta inhouse the game engine or shit like this will happen and you can't do anything about it.

Well, back on topic... I got to play GW2 tonight on the stress test event. I only had about 2 hours to play, but it was a lot of fun. I play an elementalist. It was a little overwhelming(with all the stuff to learn and do), but the gameplay was solid. I'm looking forward to this weekend.

Thanks for the heads up. I heard that Arenanet may open the servers a few hours early to test things out.
