[S] Drusella Sathir [55 Necromancer, HS East]

I actually died on both of my first 2 attempts at her. The first attempt should have been a success but I made a ton of little errors, and also had decided to clear the room ahead of her spawn and when she actually did pop I was only at about 35% mana. Maybe I should have medded up more, but I was feeling the pressure from a bunch of other people wanting shots at her and I didn't want someone else to go in claiming I wasn't engaging fast enough. The fight was still looking fine and I had her all the way down to 18% and slowed, and I was even nuking her because I got overconfident, completely forgetting that with only slant and Boltrans up I needed 525 mana to recharm if it broke. Well it broke and I was 75 mana short on redoing Boltrans, so i died. Second attempt a day later I decided to just calm the whole room and pull her since I didn't really know how to indirect agro pull and was taking too long trying to figure it out. Calming the 4 golems + waiting for her to path away from the 5th spawn took too long and I ended up getting 1 of the golems with her, and died. Anyways there was a cleric there and I was given basically as many chances as I wanted at her this time, probably because she was holding a rod [You must be logged in to view images. That 4th shield icon was actually GMR, for a second I actually thought I had a cleric buff on me from the rez, but my HP total and MR make me sure that the kill was legit.

Unfortunately this was the only shot that I took of the fight itself. Also, I did have a witness for this one. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

[S] a Howling Spectre [54 Monk, HS East]

This was actually the last mob I killed to complete GM level, but The Undertaker Lord was easily the biggest challenge of the group.

The fight wasn't that bad, I was still killing both N/S pathers at this point which made the fight easier than ones I've been doing in the last couple days.

I had changed tactics for the room and stopped trying to hold a pet after managing to agro the entire north room when one of the pathers respawned and walked out, but since this guy was undead like everything else in the area, I could just walk up to him and say hi.

Wow, great stuff. No easy set of mobs to solo. I envy some of you with the talent you have on here. I am just blown away by some of the kills you guys can do.

[S] The Undertaker Lord [56 Shadowknight, HS East]

This fight is a 2 parter, since I had regrowth on me for the first kill and by the time I finally did the pull the way I should have from the start I really wasn't paying attention to buffs anymore.

I actually spent a lot of time thinking that there was an easier way to do this pull, the final room has weird agro and none of the golems below will agro if you stay out of direct vision and pull only mobs up top. After figuring this out I spent way too much time trying to fight him in there with only calming 1 of the 2 top floor mobs. It went pretty horribly, I can only assume because the mobs in the room are higher level than the pather in the hall that I would eventually charm to kill him, but in theory if you could get a lower level mob to spawn in that room you could pull him with only having to calm 1 mob and wait for the hall pather not to be in the room. Also during this period I became painfully aware that even though I could hit him with my color stuns, they didn't actually do anything since he's level 56.

A few days and a few corpse summons later, with a now completely depleted Soulfire just from trying to figure that out I finally decided to just calm everything. It had failed in the past, but on this attempt I got him to come solo. Notice that I had forgotten to even give my pet weapons before this pull.

I was pretty drained at this point and not really thinking straight, for some reason I believed that his SK DoTs were a lot more dangerous than they are and rather than just runeing my pet up and letting it do all the work, I tried to win the race by DoTing and nukeing him myself.

I ended up winning, and celebrating for a while, but then I went back to look at the screenshots I realized that I had fucked up and still had regrowth for the fight and found myself wondering if I'd need to spawn and kill him again. Luckily for me he spawned again 20 mins later. Even luckier I was able to pull him without any issue.
I decided to blank the chat on this one, it was just a conversation that I was having.

At this point I was still going at it with the nukes, and this fight should have been a lot smoother than the first, but about half way through he hit me with fear and I spent a good 20-30 seconds sitting there stunned.

I managed to drop him, but unfortunately my pet died from the DoTs while I was looting. That hamal was probably the best pet possible in that hallway. I used boltran's for the fights, but know it could be allured, and I don't even think that it could summon. Most importantly though, it never broke during either fight.

Some time between the previous fight and this one I realized that there wasn't really any point in even having my Mystic Cloak out in the inventory as for a fight like this it wouldn't even last me a single round of getting hit, and trying to equip it while getting beat on then spamming its shield really wouldnt do much. Since my objective on this kill was to get the solo credit anyways I just put it away and had basically nothing besides the cap available if things went south.

Part of it may have been my own bad tactics, and part was probably how long it took for me to finally get him, but both fights were actually a lot of fun, and probably the best time I've had working on the solo challenge so far. Actually I think for me it was the stun immunity and nearly 23k HP, it added a whole new level of fear to the fight.

With that I've knocked out everything in HS. I think in the next few days I'll probably move on to Sebilis since that's where the bulk of the remaining mobs in the challenge are, but I still might decide to hit the more out of the way stuff first. I'll also post a proper challenge card here at some point.
