![]() So I haven't been doing much in the way of God mode stuff (I think
Dartain wore me out) but today I decided to conquer the Plane of Fear. (I should mention I hate posting these unsuccessful reports but I feel I owe it to my public to show that I'm not really that much better than anyone else, I just try more.) [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] http://s7.postimage.org/rx69nxhvt/EQ000170.png I ported in, was immediately jumped by 5+ mobs, got a few stun resists and Z-axis mez problems and overall mistakes and decided I wasn't quite ready to die; capped out. After recharge I tried again, this time I got a few scareling teleports on my pet and each time this resulted in a few more mobs. I was still not doing too badly until a glare lord showed up right as charm broke (again) and I was gibbed (1500 damage in 1 second roughly) before I could cap out. So I ported in again and managed to loot my corpse before capping out (again) due to low mana pool. At this point I felt like I was spending more time recharging my cap than anything so I decided to change my strategy a bit. I don't think the actual zone in to Fear is that bad, the problem is the fucking scarelings and their ports which are practically a siren call for more mobs. So this time I carefully calmed the scareling near the portal and kept another one mezzed and I was able to kill 4 mobs before having to cap out due to lack of mana. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] http://s2.postimage.org/m4gf5vjfb/EQ000172.png I was really abusing the strings as charm kept breaking. I managed to pick up a Shissar Focus Staff in VP; I really wish that thing went up to 51 instead of 49 which would make it a godly item even with a 16s cast time; as is its good but not fantastic. So I recharged my cap (again) and went back to finish the last scareling. I decided to try rooting my pet to see if this would prevent the gate. This turned out to be a very bad idea; my pet was teleported anyway but could not run back, and aggroed pretty much all of the west wall roamers. Capped again. At this point I was really determined to fuck up some scarelings and zoned in with the intention of chainstunning them. I zoned in and was immediately jumped by the ex pet (by now I was really beginning to regret weaponizing that guy and zoning into an ass kicking every time). I was about to go to work on the scareling near the zone when I was jumped by two spiders and another gorilla. Once again I just got screwed on charm breaks (I had started with 10 charges on my strings and I was down to 4 at this point) as well as getting jumped by a bunch of adds (again). At least I did manage to kill one gorilla, so progress, kind of. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] http://s9.postimage.org/q97ny58al/EQ000173.png My new goal was to kill that stupid weaponized see invis gorilla which was making my life miserable on each of my many zoneins. Of course he was immediately teleported off the hill so finally I said fuck it and followed him. He ended up in the middle of a pile of scarelings which I thought was the end for sure but one of them was 51+ and kept summoning him back every time they port/healed him. He managed to kill two before he was slain. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] http://s8.postimage.org/ne6ffvq8z/EQ000175.png I was actually almost happy when the glare lord showed up as finally I would have something to tap. One of the biggest problems with this whole business is all the fear mobs have so many HP that the fights take forever. I would say they have 50-100% more hp than normal L50 mobs which is quite tiresome. I was using the strings at this point more to save mana than anything else as I was having to CC 6-8 other mobs near the west wall anyway. Finally I just ran out and had to cap (again). Kill total was 4-5 including the annoying roamer so definitely progress. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] http://s7.postimage.org/43s43mwuh/EQ000178.png At this point I was feeling pretty good that I had finally broken the zone and was ready to kick some ass when I found: [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] http://s8.postimage.org/u8zk7wtcz/EQ000179.png This by the way is why I don't have such a huge problem with TMO. TMO is at least honest that their goal is is steal all your mobs; BDA basically does the same thing only less effectively and with an irritatingly holier-than-thou attitude. Taking fear and insulting the guy you took it from is fine according to server rules; I had capped and abandoned the camp and fear isn't considered a camp anyway. TMO does this kind of thing all the time. But it is not a nice thing to do either for a guild that supposedly is all about playing nice. They knew I was there (I wasn't anon, and had been in fear for ~30 consecutive minutes before I capped out), they just said fuck it and went anyway. And when I did show up they didn't offer to negotiate (I would have been happy to just finish my break which was almost done) and then just kill a golem, not quite 100% but whatever its my challenge, instead they just said fuck you. And then they asked for c2. Anyway, lessons learned: * Don't weaponize the gorilla that roams over the entrance, instead get him killed ASAP * Don't do this when CT is in window * Keep the scarelings away from the pack and mez the one near the entrance * Use calm and blur to save mana, and when you get low mem gate to save cap funds * Stockholm is a tool I'll try again next week or so.

(In the past few weeks I've been regaling Tecmos with tales of my solo artist challenge epic fails whenever I do have some free P99 time. Until I finally get on the board, I'm relegated to being a cheerleader and having obnoxious /tells recorded in his kill shots.)

![]() Yay, I'm in Loraen's screenshots! Bum luck with BDA moving into Fear and spoiling you "fun," but it does sound like next time the break-in won't be quite as harrowing.

Logged back in an hour ago to 4 imps beating on my face. Nasty little buggers, but not magic resistant, so I stunned, mezzed, rooted, dispatched 2 via suicide and 2 more for some xp. I petted the pather from the hall and gave him a wep and haste and kept him parked for the next cycle. Killed the PH and some pops, then saved the last imp inside (he was dark blue instead of the light blue I had) and switched pets. Next time around, Djarn popped! Unfortunately I was very, very not ready for him, because one of his guards popped first and I didn't root cause I thought "hey boy, a rogue pet shouldn't have trouble killing off a fleeing enemy!" and I ended up with an extra imp and a lava guardian for it. I helped pet kill the protector then decided to blur the guardian, lull the other imp that popped inside, and tackle Djarn. I pulled wish tash to get him out around the corner, and unfortunately he decided not to use some MR something or other on me, but led things off with some ice spell. It didn't get through rune, but he did as he rounded the corner and resisted a couple roots + stuck a magic nuke on me. I was at like 70% or so, and aggrod that lava guardian again with an AE stun... not a pretty fight so far! But I pulled it off. Pet was level 48 with WR and 2 weapons, and he got a few backstabs in as I hopped in to try turning djarn around. Djarn ran, of course, and resisted like 4 roots as he did so. I stunned a couple adds pet picked up and watched him finish Djarn off with only a sliver of his own life left: http://postimage.org/image/qytanzpnv/ And in the little flurry of rushed killing, that ended up being the only screenshot I took. He ended up being unwilling to drop the ring for me [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

I found Harbinger up when I got into crypt. I petted the Keeper's dar PH, who turned out to be just a little level 46, and killed the prots just cause I'd never been here before, then went in to do Harbinger. I put pet on him just long enough to land a mez, then backed him off and proceeded to debuff: http://postimage.org/image/96iy4vw4d/ I didn't have any charm breaks, so the rest of the fight continued with me stunning a lot, getting summoned now and then when ghoul root did it's annoying little thing, throwing bedlam back on myself after summon+reroot/blur, etc. Mid: http://postimage.org/image/6uysjmg6z/ Late: http://postimage.org/image/b2kzcttpn/ Loot (plus my empty back slot!): http://postimage.org/image/t812d2dzx/ After that I trounced the other 3 PHs, then camped off pet to let him heal and came back in and petted him back up in time to see Hiero named popping. He had skyfire sword, unfortunately: http://postimage.org/image/pdg1tgod9/ I forgot to take many SSs this fight cause I was just running around constantly trying to get positioned so that I could stun the hell out of him without getting caught in the nonstop rain procs or his melee reach: http://postimage.org/image/vopunmezh/ He never tried to cast a slow, but I'm sure my pet was thankful that I was interrupting a bunch of dots and frost nukes and heals anyways. Here he is nice and low, but I didn't SS the crappy sword: http://postimage.org/image/h6xpcqtzx/ Along the way of killing these and a couple more cycles, I learned a few things. First, it sucks rearranging hotkeys; I burned 2 charges of my wand of allure when thinking I was clicking hide and netted myself once when trying to break a pet. Second, the prots are dicks because it is pretty hard to get my pet to back the PHs/nameds far enough away that they don't heal/hero/symbol through the walls. Third, this camp is so easy, even though I was not doing a few tactics that would have made it even easier because I was a bit too slow on kills while trying to do 3 of the PHs with my wimpy little pet. I actually had duke named pop too, but I'm going to skip the SSs... lol. The first pull I tried to facepull him back to my pet in hiero room and he resisted like 3 stuns and a mez, so I ended up eating a HT, some melee, a boil blood, and a disease cloud, so I just dazzled him and invised back to my pet and dazzled him and camped, came back in to keep pet mezzed then bandaged myself and waited a cycle to try him again to make sure I kept hiero down. Second try I pulled duke fine, but I just could NOT get him away from the prot outside and had quite a few stun resists, so pet wasn't doing very hot. And then duke ran, and even though I got the prots mezzed right off... meanwhile duke was all the way up the damn stairs and a couple ghouls were coming my way, so I hatted out. A few people saw duke on track and me in EC and went into crypt before I could recharge, so I'll be back in there later. Solo master!

![]() Grats Tecmos! I updated the master list. It's also interesting to note that apparently BDA was so traumatized by their encounter with me they had to change their guild name.

This time the fight proceeded without a charm break. That is, not until I stooped over to loot the body of my fallen enemy... lol: http://postimage.org/image/hhebce3hv/ Loot: http://postimage.org/image/je6j2w5qn/

Found her up with my brother's little druid that I ran over there to track for her and headed over asap. I went down into her room and at first thought I'd just keep 3 of her guards lulled then use a 4th, dark blue one to kill her. But a lull wore off like right as I sent my pet at Estrella, it dotted me, root wore off, charm broke, and I just managed to get out by stunning them (couldn't mez cause all 3 of the damn things were dotted) and gating. Good thing I decided to bind outside instead of keeping my bind by seb. Next time I decided I would just lull her guards, mez her, and invis pull her back to entrance where I'd kill her with an animation: http://postimage.org/image/600rh51hx/ I figured I would just chainstun her while I hit her with my RoA and my animation chopped at her from behind. But a couple things I expected and something I didn't expect conspired to work me over pretty good. I wasn't timing my stuns very well, and she was getting in swings at me... which was pushing me and causing me to have even more stuns interrupted, which resulted in her sticking two dots on me. Dots and underwater push were what I expected, but didn't handle well. The thing I didn't expect was her damage shield. I should have stripped her of buffs before the fight, but since I didn't I was hurt (through runes, stupid stupid) from the DS and getting eaten alive from dots. I didn't get a SS of it, but I was down under 20% from the dots with drones wearing off and I clicked a CH on myself. After this, I decided to just keep her rooted and slowed and use stuns + bedlam on pet and let him do the dirty work while I caught med ticks and ToTed, and things were more under control: http://postimage.org/image/qs5b41sfd/ She was getting low, finally, but she killed one pet so I stunned her and mezzed to get medded back up and get a new pet out and such: http://postimage.org/image/olzxpgp7z/ Unfortunately I think I had taken so long by now that tash wore off without me noticing, and I didn't think of this until after root wore off early a couple times and I got beat up some more before I figured, what the hell, I've already used a CH I might as well use a net on her too: http://postimage.org/image/xjvodyqeh/ She did die eventually though: http://postimage.org/image/a0gymbprv/ The rod went to a lowbie druid near the zone [You must be logged in to view images. I loved leveling in LOIO underwater, but these stupid little fish and the fact that it took me so long to find estrella up and everything is a stupid buffing + healing + dotting druid mob in here... screw this place.

Crappy loot, unfortunately, but at least I got to kill her again, and without using clickies OR invis pulls: [You must be logged in to view images.
