yeah , you can do this on blue already.

Red sever is fine, it provides the same classic EQ experience as the blue server, but with a different (and better) way to contest content.

guild v guild fights over content VS. sitting in a liar for three says stareing at a wall hopeing the boss spawns and your ranger tags it with an arrow first.

guess I missed all of those epic contested fights on this server cuz last time I checked we logged on killed bosses and logged off. this is just a single guild blue server that is better fit for a small emulated box than having resources dedicated to it at this point. something like FV sounds like a lot of fun

replace server with a red server that starts off as it should, with global ooc, yellow text, and increased exp, instead of slowly altering a "classic" server that everyone said wouldnt work in the first place over 8 months into a viable server only to die a slow death because it took the people running the shit 8 months to realize the people from the start saying it wouldnt work that the people were right?

a server like this would never attract enough people in my opinion to warrant devoting resources to it. should just put everything into blue at this point and getting velious out, fixing existing bugs, etc.

I counted over 100 people were banned for 2 or even 3boxing, and using ShowEQ/MQ over the past two months. I stopped counting when it almost equaled the highest population I've seen. I'm sooo sure this has nothing to do with it . Or grefing people by bind camping them till they quit playing. I'm sure people posting that on the server section and bragging about it attracted more new people who wanted to play with these outstanding players.

People say there were more manastones than they were players. I ask, how come? I thought the server was based around pvp, not loot.

You guys didn't come down hard enough on the VZTZ infestation. You were way too soft, didn't permaban exploiters, etc.

The only chance this server had was being administrated with an iron fist, and instead you guys ruled it with a fluffy fist.

Caught exploiting Nagafen, Vox, pathing, wands, everything? Slap on the wrist despite knowing you were breaking the rules, doing it intentionally, and flipping off the admins while doing so.

You treat cheaters like they're doing it on accident. That is retarded.

Yes clearly the people banned on the server, got away with it. Good point Harrison. I'll also add in the fact of you trolling every single thread and cyber stalking people falls right in line with Cast posting all the stuff he was, that also drove people away from the server.

VZ/TZ people (well most of them) had no intention to play fairly. Winning and griefing was their only objective. It is funny that people come down on admins for being lenient or giving people chances. You did give them chances and the people continued to cheat and got themselves banned. My issue, well more than an annoyance than really an issue really, is all the people trying to sell manastones and other high end gear. Especially considering that there are only an average of 25 people on the server at any one time. Obviously exploiting was involved and gear has found its way into accounts that did not get banned. Such a thing does not really affect my character as he is just starting out on the server and a few people have been very helpful.

PLing is not against the game rules but with hot spots as they are now it is possible to use phones to connect a computer, giving it a different IP, thus 2 boxing. Obviously the Admins wanted r99 to work but considering the people that harrassed the forums it was doomed.

I enjoy EQ the game and I am enjoying r99. I've played a Bard, a Mage, a Rogue, a Ranger and an Enchanter to different levels. I find it incorrigible that people sell gear they know was gotten through cheating and many of these same people still give props to people who were banned. I know this game well and gear does make a difference when people of equal skill meet in PvP. I listen to the OOC chat. The guys that talk smack about how good they are have had to flee. Blaming their deaths on lag, guards assisting, being outnumbered oh the list is pretty long. Then bitch about the xp loss as their corpse gets camped by bluebies who are pretty pissed and just returning the favor. The difference is that bluebies tend to enjoy this game for what it is and are still around. Perhaps we will always be.
