Why not code in something similar to a heartbeat monitor for networking... population drops below a certain number, say 50, it auto emails admin cellphone, they get msg, solve problem?

Totally support this and it's been suggested multiple times in the past.

I don't believe that's the issue though; I perceive it to be that the admins or people with the server rights, are all US based and often asleep or at work when this happens.

They need to extend the admin rights to some new people with low level priority- just enough control to reset the server IF the server is down(flagged).

Or hire a European based admin as they'll be awake when this happens.

If only humans didn't need sleep we could get soooo much done!
Sucks that I can't get in to play, but oh well, there are other things in life besides EQ

Time to go enjoy those things and let the poor devs get some sleeps

since patches happens once every season here, I consider these log in server issues as to what eqlive often patched down time was.
