Eve Online requires a massive amount of time to get to where you can accomplish things. Yes, it's newbie friendly and yes new players can start off doing missions right off the bat, but that's all you can do effectively, mission. A 1 week old character will never be good in PvP because a 2 week character will have much more SP then he does. The 2 week player will pull more DPS and have a higher rate of fire if he's training correctly.

I played this game for 5 years and now... well... I just don't see the fun in it.

so someone who gets a head start has an advantage? well derpty derp derp derp. what if all the 2 week player's SP (skillpoints for people who dont know wtf that is) went to mining or maybe he was pvp "speced" but put points in the wrong places. sp only goes so far, just like gear, levels, and spells for eq. thats not even touching the ship the players in, how its fit, and most importantly player skill. this goes for any game, you would think that someone who has played this game for 5 years would understand. not to mention there are counters to everything. learn 2 game?

Samwise did not heed Diggles or Steaks warning about pvp. I am red to the core. Immediately after tutorials i began my pvp conquest. results... ya i got owned.

one thing about eve is all your kills and engagments are logged for the most part in databases called KillBoards. Here you can see ive killed 2 ships and ive lost 19. Id say about 3 of those losses could have been kills had I known more about the game. 6 or more of those losses were in fleet battles where I was tackling in a frigate (basically CCing big ships in a small ship so I got targeted.) Go hard or go home [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Ill try, if i can even find it.

People arent joking about the infro cram the first few days.

Game is alot of fun so far, just learning. Although i understand the basic parts and number crunching for guns etc, I got my ass whipped last night so im not sure if i truely know what im doing. Probably not.

O well im too god damn good at eq i need something a little more complicated.

the neocom (left side menu) has a chat hotkey. should be the first hotkey below your face on the side bar. right click it and click open channels. Project1999 is channel name. should be good from there.

my first "big" kill was this guy

http://eve-kill.net/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=13036174

I baited this guy into engaging me while i had backup on the way. I losed my ship (about 1-2 mil but he lost a faction ship with mods worth over 22mil) I got about 5 mil in loots from him so was a good kill in my books [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
