I had a lot of fun on the kings & bandits server (creators of QvFP I believe), which had GMs who continually patched new content/created things.

Sadly, the world of custom EQ for pvp will never work long term. Sure, maybe it will last a few weeks, but people end up quitting to come back to a classic type server.

That being said, if you want some short-term fun, the perma-death server was a lot of fun and maybe you should look at something like that.

Ah the K&B memories again Singa, makes me want to consider this project but the only thing preventing it is the fact that Diablo 3 is just around the corner. Unless it flops majorly I don't see another pvp server taking off. I know there is no pvp in Diablo 3 at launch, it's not going to matter, at least not in the beginning when everyone is immersed into pve for auction house profits. Making launching a new project seem like a lost cause, for now at least.
