The only thing that kept me from rolling on Red99 was I knew it was just going to be twinked out alts doing PvP my whole time leveling, I would've definitely done it if it had the same rule as I think Firiona Vie did, where you can only have 1 character on the server, but alot of players would probably dislike it.

The server will never reach its potential because there is no appropriate example. The GM's have their own ideas about who and what will be punished, though it contridicts the legitamacy of recreating classic everquest. From the limited exposure I have had with the GM's on blue/red
P99, I dont get the impression they are in it to help people. There are exceptions granted to some, but not others, Favortism, suspensions, bans, and at times, no action is taken. One thing is certain to be successful you need to be fair, consistant, and lead by example. I played on this hidden forest for a bit, it was not for me, but the GMs were great!, they actually were welcoming, concerned, and accomidating, something that will never be known to the P99 community. Its pretty straight forward. Be Fair, be respectful, and be consistant.

For the record, Sirken, nothing in your post applies to me. I have grinded to 40 and stopped because there's barely anybody left. I wanted the grind... I wanted people to have to work for their shit... but I wanted there to still be a server worth playing on once the grind was complete. I hearby absolve the staff of all blame... you're right, it's completely 100% the fault of the players that this server has failed. Blame having been assessed, would you please do SOMETHING to save the server before prime time population hits zero?

38% of the votes are due to GM issues (communication^^^ lololo + shortage of quality gms). 50% are due to the dwindling population + communication issues (global ooc/features + population topics). Despite this, the poll results are ignored and the populace is called a bunch of collective pussies rather than dealing with the real issues. Keep up the good communication GMs(+1 vote for that reason).

^emphasis on the new friends part. I see a lot of people join the server with their existing friends, never branch out, then feel like they are homeless if someone quits. I've met some cool people since starting here.

I wouldn't say i don't enjoy everquest.. i enjoy the PvE
but the PvP on everquest is horrible lol I wouldn't really call it PvP server I'd call it a PvE server with some PvP elements... classic or not its not really going to draw in crowds people enjoy fast paced PvP these days.. not grind for ever then fight
