add patchme to the target of the shortcut like you do with P99. the login screen will be a hot mess but, the game will be in full screen.

option 2 is to resize the window to create pseudo fullscreen.

changed it from 32 to 16 BitsPerPixel and still get same "eqw only supports 16 and 32 bit video modes" error. Is it a problem with my screen resolution, that may need to be adjusted?

Edit: Changed my screen resolution from 1600x900 to 1280xwhatever and i can get on now [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] It isnt necissarily pretty but its EQ

just like you do with P99; create a shortcut for eqgame.exe and add patchme to the target

Thanks for the help, and i hate asking a ton of questions, but now i'm getting an error such as "Creat Surface (Primary) failed", after a google search some claim it has something to do with the colors, any idea?

I heard some people making noise about running in 16 bit color but, I run 32 bit just fine. I'm not sure how you set up your client but, this walkthrough should set you up with a stable client easy-peasy:

Thanks for the help, as much as i love the memories of the old ui, i think gameplay will go more smoothly with luclin. With that being said, after following suggestions on that thread, i am getting "EQW only supports 16 and 32 bit video modes", where in in the ini file is it located to change that?

eqw.ini

also make sure your display adapter is set to either a 16 or 32 bit mode in windows (i.e. no 24 bit or other wonky crap)

I'm currently running True Colors (32 bit) colors on my pc, but what specific piece of eqw.ini is to be changed to match that?

so it launches but I get the "eqgame.exe has experienced a problem and must shut down" error or whatever when I launch it. If I don't dismiss the box, the game still loads. As soon as I do it shuts it down.

What is EQW? And why does it put you in the old school ui etc? I got into the game....in a postage sized old school window with that error box to the side....as soon as i dismiss the box it shuts everything down
