If it's the scream I'm thinking of, it was originally used in Legends of Kesmai.

I completely forgot about it till you mentioned the name. I personally never played it but friends of mine back in the day swore by it.

I don't think that sound is from EQ. However, I'm pretty sure the EQ ding is in the Mega Man television series. You can hear it in the intro at 44 seconds in: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ufVQIUEiYc
