Hey. FYI - Nilbog spends HOURS every week coding things just for red. so don't hand me that shit that he doesn't give a shit about this project. It's a hobby, for which he isn't paid. Same with all the other devs.

You're right, let me rephrase -- What I was trying to say, is that given the fact they don't get paid for this and have limited time I would guess that they would be much more interested in the blue server that is blossoming right now with the release of epics and VP than the red server.

That was my point, if they didn't care they wouldn't have released the server to begin with. I just think they may be limited on time, either way I'm enjoying my time on the server and I've been thankful to the devs/guides that have put forth their free work towards that experience since day 1.. but my expectations to have them fix things such as the resist system, xp rate, etc is very low because of the time they have allocated to working on red

Fact is for the most part I think the server is being handled like it was blue, because they have no experience with a pvp server.. maybe the devs should have some type of 'board of advisors' people on this forum who have years in this game in PvP that can help them promote a healthy pvp server pop

Resists just need tuned. Other then that, more pop then VZTZ ever had. Winning imo.

Servers fine. Only thing that truly hurt the population was releasing VP and epics on blue whenever the goal was to try and bring people from blue over to red.

Wow - So you know what i see - i see several potential devs here. If you are all THAT much of experts on EQ then i recommend you learn how to code or at least learn how to pseudocode and talk to nilbog and express an interest in reforming your negativity and doing something positive for the game we all love so much. Then if you think something is so damn broken then work with nilbog in a POSITIVE manner to try and get it changed.

Do you think coming at him with tons of public threads about how much his server sucks really is a way to make him listen to you at all???? If you think that's how to get people to listen to you then you need to go to charm school or something.

And you think the red server gets no attention from the CS Staff beyond a broadcast reminder not to train each other? Here's a hint buddy - if i'm broadcasting not to train it's because i have several reports of training going on in various zones and i can't be everywhere at once. I have spent countless hours on red helping players, trying to fix things and provide immediate guide assistance.

Sirken has spent a lot of time doing the same. We all have real lives. we can't be on there 24/7.

Hi Amelinda,

Just wanted to say from my perspective as a developer, when I joined p1999 about a year ago, I was very excited, and I sent PMs asking how I could contribute. I never heard anything back. Don't know if this is a common experience, but I just assumed they weren't interested in having other coders join the team.

Of course it's certainly possible that Nilbog just didn't repond, or he forgot, or any other perfectly normal reason. It's also true that I could also have pressed on and pinged more.. but I didn't hear back so I just assumed there wasn't interest.

If there is real interest in getting more devs to join, I would suggest a "potential dev FAQ" posted somewhere, with a list to the source code, how to build, how to run unit tests, etc. There are many red players who are also developers like myself that I'm sure would love to help.

Love the server, most fun I've had since original EQ. Don't listen to the people complaining. I cancelled my other game subscriptions, I'm happy to start paying my $20 a month to red99

There are a lot of people posting suggestions to improve the server BECAUSE we love the server and want more people. Ignore the negative flames (responding in rage is asking for more trolling) and concentrate on the people trying to provide constructive feedback.

I'm a programmer -- I can help code, although I don't have much time (FT college + PT job), but if you want someone that can help now and then..
