So it seems like there are other mobs within the Tottering gorilla spawn cycle.
Just go to the location Daldaen listed and kill everything that walks past you. I got my Tainted gorilla to spawn off of a mosquito.

I just got my corrupted. I sat up here on the plateau and killed everything pretty much.. leeches, skellys, mosquitos, trakaraptors.. about 25 mobs in total.
And a tainted popped, from what? Who knows lol but it worked this time =)

I found a spawn at 3700, 2400 that has "a tottering gorilla" on it. Last pop was a mosquito of some kind. This is my 3rd pop sitting at this loc, and my 2nd tottering. Seems to have a 7min repop. Hopefully it won't take much longer [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
EDIT: didn't take too long to get the corrupted after sitting at the spawn point | ||

Got it...
I got the tainted to spawn at that location...however it did not take just a little while...it took a long while. I resorted to quad kiting everything on the plateau only to be shamed by having the damn thing spawn on the spawn point I camped for 6 hours.
