Kill more npcs. (high level ones)

Similar to magelo shows, it can spawn in a multitude of locations.

Those can spawn in a multitude of locations yes. But the ones that are Placeholders for Tainted/Corrupted only spawn on the upper plateau.

Seen here:

Sigh. Guys, I didn't write the druid epic. The OP of this bug report stated how tottering gorillas weren't in abundance. If the root cause was a lack of tainted gorillas, I would have focused my attention on that :T

Will look into it some more in a while.

And it's not just that they are not in abundance... there is not a single gorilla spawning on the upper plateau. None.
Thanks in advance (and so far) for the help, mods/GM-peoples.

The tottering density is really high in the upper corner, looks like it's most likely a second spawngroup on top of the regular gorrillas.

Yea... I guess Smilkers wasn't exactly clear

Tottering Gorillas are the PHers for tainted gorillas. So the PHer for the mob wasn't spawning is the issue I believe. Atleast they *should* be the PHer for the tainteds.

And those that are PHers should only spawn in the North West corner of the zone and roam around the the plateau never on the jungle base floor. Up where Severelious spawns.

Exactly.

Tottering gorillas in the NW corner are what we need to kill in order to spawn our Tainted gorilla.
(no other gorillas elsewhere in zone will ever spawn our tainted, according to the wiki/magelo/allakhazam).

Without tottering gorillas spawning in the NW corner, we can never kill our Tainted gorilla.
I hope this is clear.

As of today, there are still no tottering gorillas spawning on the plateau.

Checked EJ again today with a ranger friend.. No tottering gorillas. And the ideas brought to the table (killing higher lvl mobs in zone, killing other gorillas on the plateau as well as on the ground area) I have tried. I have yet to hear of any spawning after the initial 2 I killed a couple days ago, and I have been pretty persistent with asking other ppl in zone if they've come across any.

Edit: A single tottering gorilla popped on the plateau [8:37 PST] PROGRESS =D

Okay I have found the single tottering gorilla Keltai mentions, it has a 7min repop...

It spawns roughly near [Sat Jan 07 00:47:32 2012] Your Location is 3671.95, 2387.42, -17.71

Respawn is around 7 minutes:

[Sat Jan 07 00:30:11 2012] You have slain a tottering gorilla!
[Sat Jan 07 00:39:36 2012] You have slain a tottering gorilla!
[Sat Jan 07 00:47:22 2012] You have slain a tottering gorilla!
[Sat Jan 07 00:53:40 2012] You have slain tainted gorilla!
[Sat Jan 07 00:54:53 2012] You have slain corrupted gorilla!

The tainted that spawned started pathing down into the pit near CoM, which afaik isn't classic, it should stay up on the plateau.

Also there are supposed to be 3 tottering gorillas that could yield a tainted spawn, not one.
