Camp something like the Ishva for 8 hours straight, and then right before it spawns have someone come in and sit on the spawn point.

Would you feel slighted?

A) I would never camp something for 8 hours straight.
B) If I ever did feel the need to waste 8 hours sitting at one camp, and then someone took my spawn, I would be pissed and tell myself this is why I don't waste my time camping a mob.

I find your annoyance at the effects of /anon understandable - though on the other hand I think there are valid reasons to be anon. The thing that annoys me about the whole anon thing is that doing a /who all <zone name> does not show anonymous players. I understand that this is the way it was in classic however, and that is the theme of the server, so just got to accept.

What I don't find understandable is your attitude towards camping. If you want certain things you are going to have to camp them. If you don't want them enough to camp them, then fiine - for YOU. But other players might, and you imply with your statements that this is somehow perplexing or unusual. It is you who are unusual in this regard - particularly when you say that you would blame yourself for the inappropriate actions of another player. That's just nuts.

Roll down to Ishva a minute before it spawns and jack the kill from someone who wasted 8 hours sitting there. How awesome would you feel?

I'm [...] curious if there is truly a legitimate reason to do this.
Play a wizard, druid, enchanter or cleric from mid level up or a high level paladin and you will find enlightment.

The only bit I don't understand about /ano and /role are people putting the LFG tag one while being /ano or /role: how do you expect to have invites if people don't know your class and, most importantly, your level?

Some people would push this further, as per the server rules highlighted in a previous post. The camp rules are not here to annoy people but to ensure that a minimum level of courtesy and respect is present on the server to avoid anarchy. Whatever you do you will be frustrated but the choice is yours to either (a) bite the bullet, accept being done in the backside or (b) seek assistance from a GM so you get what was rightfully yours. Option (a) is quicker but, in a way, promotes a bad attitude by not fighting it when witnesed, option (b) will reduce your frustration and help improve the overall attitude on the server by getting the offenders punished.

My guess would be that they are raiding and their raid knows their class and level or they only want to be grouped with people that know them.

"Hey do you got any rogue weps I can have" "hey you will drag my group out of the crypt even tho you are grouped and on the opposite side of the zone" these are the 2 most common tells I get as a rogue when I'm not anon..... Going anon just saves me the time of having to type "hell no" every 5 minutes

Back in 2000-2001, I played a Rogue up to level 52 and I was never asked if I had any Rogue weapons to give away. And maybe once was asked to drag a corpse. But I suppose if I were sent tells like this every 5 minutes like you suggest, then I might have to go anon as well.
