I tried the pvp server for a bit and remembered why eq classic is the worst pvp ever. I was level 2, and some twink kept killing me over and over. what's the purpose? also, I played some pvp on Ralos Zek, and I'm not sure how it was in the beginning, but noobs could level to 6 safely, and at some point they made it safe up until 9. Also you could loot the entire corpse, but now it's only coin. It the server is not going to be classic, then why not try to make it really good? The rules should be changed to get rid of the assholes that just hassle noobs for no reason if you want new people to play and stick with it. Else just watch the server population fizzle, or stick with the same peeps.

Yeah, I just started on the server and not even 2 bars into level 2 I'm getting ganked as well by the same guy over and over.

As annoying as it is, the people ganking need to realize that later on they'll need groups, and when they get to a group and get killed by the group rather than a group invite, they only have themselves to blame.

Just because it's PVP doesn't mean you *have* to gank people, but it gives you the right to. If you use it wisely, you'll come out ahead in PVP. Players that have friends to help in PVP > People who think they're badass solo ganking.

EQ PVP is really tough compared to other games and yeah, there really is no balance to it. If you have resist gear, melees rock, without it casters just tear it up. Though, Bards always reign supreme in PVP.
