Anyone have an issue with the mouse look? I feel like I turn 90 degrees to the left and it just stops there... have the let go of mouse button and try to force it to turn 180 degrees (if that makes sense...)...
Yeah, it's a known bug: see here. Supposedly it's fixed if you use wine 1.5.11 or later, and Xquartz instead of the X11 server included with Wineskin. I played with that last week and it seemed to still have the same bug (as well as some texture issues). I haven't had time to try and do any more troubleshooting.

I just installed everything and changed the text files; but now Project 1999 itself will not start. It just bounces on my dock...

EDIT: Okay I let it bounce for a couple minutes and it started up, but then I immediately got this:

EDIT 2: I got it, had the .ini file saved as .txt.

My main questions is about the eqclient.ini file. I already have a eqclient.ini file do I just replace the current file with the eqclient.ini that is posted in the instructions? I have followed the instructions to a T 3 different times and still can not get the game to launch. Anyone have any advice?

and in the instructions when it says "extract files" from the downloaded files into your new p99 files. Do I just drag and drop or do I need to download a program to extract the p99 files to replace the old p99 files?

If you have a working eqclient.ini you can use that.

Dragging and dropping is fine to copy the files over. But don't drag and drop folders; the contents of the destination folder will be removed and replaced with what you dragged. P99 updates only include the new files, so you have to make sure those are updated without losing any of the existing files.

After you have it setup, you can launch it by opening the app you extracted into your Applications folder (i.e., Avatar's wine wrapper that you downloaded from http://www.mediafire.com/?ltz58wddkaf30eh). Is that not working for you? What happens? Any error messages?

The project 1999 icon pops up on my doc and the app just freezes, no error menus, just nothing happens besides that app showing up on the dock. BTW just want to thank you for helping me phobus!
