It's not like they had any advance notice about the wands or anything... [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Holy shit. Buncha clowns in this forum.

It's simple really-- if people want to cheat THEMSELVES of the classic experience, by all means bro, do you.. I think suspensions, etc should be applied to the people who leveled this way. I'm sure there were plenty things that happened on Live like this and they never server wiped and punished the entire population, they applied suspensions/bans, etc

If P1999 doesn't have the staff or want to put forth the effort into finding these clowns then that obviously hurts the legitness of this box..

But cmon people who are we kidding, it's a 12 year old game, if people want to go out of their way to cheat on a 12 year old emu server to have a bigger e-peen on these forums or for some reason think its cool to be the first 50 or what not, then let them be..

They're going to be sitting around doing nothing waiting for people who didn't cheat or hack to level anyway, cept those that didn't then cheat themselves of the experience of classic EQ, which is really what this should all be about.

Pathetic...

Don't think a wipe would be appropriate. Just ban all the offenders and give them a fresh start from level 1 please!

Mid-day R99 Market Report-11/29/11

R99 stock is down severely since yesterday's R99 Market Report, with the Swedish exploiting issues still raging in R99 news. R99 is known to be a volatile asset, and Elisha, a research analyst with Exploiters.com, commented on this by saying, "Further pockets of short-sellers and safe-haven selling will not support the R99 stock in the coming sessions. Look for the bottom to fall out and prices to plunge on the new revelations."

It is reported that the inverse derivative 99R -which seeks to mimic R99 inversely is up $7.50 since yesterday's close.

Paul Schnow, an analyst with Wakeupgms.com put it succinctly, "Confidence has left the R99 zone, as the insider trading and deals come to light, traders are losing confidence and we are beginning to see the effects as they take flight from the risk. The uncertainty and inaction by the GM's is causing fear to spread in the ranks and we may see a plummet of epic proportions. The stock is down 25 points from it's historic high last week of $72.50. If continued inaction wins the day, expect the bottom to drop out with support not reached until the $10-12 range."

Found this in my e-mail alerts this morning. What's going on? Should i sell? Will there be any justice? What's going to happen to the exploiters and their cronies on the inside who allowed this crime to happen. It's obvious it wasn't just happenstance, but a long protracted effort by those on the inside AND the outside for a crime of this magnitude to be planned and carried out. It had to involve everyone from the top down and I am worried that the worst has not been discovered.

No, I don't think that makes sense either nor would a roll back of ALL xp gained in this manner. A partial amount/compromise of the exploited xp would be fair.

Really though, it was one or two people, casters at that. I just wouldn't set the precedent (hint: people take notice to this) that you can milk an exploit until its fixed and not receive, let alone expect, any kind of repercussion (roll back wise) for doing so.

The server rules clearly state that you're not allowed to exploit bugs. OBVIOUS bugs. Why should they only lose a partial amount of the cheated exp?

Light punishment will only give an incentive to exploit/cheat more.
