and the warrior doesn't have to be gnome, can be any race.
not everyone is going to be running around south karana / OoT until lvl 50.

higher damage tables, innate MR, best hp/ac (after an AC fix presumably), these things are all going to make warriors formidable opponents indoors.

This thread wasn't specifically about pvp. Good luck making it to 50 as a tank that can't hold agro :P

Yeah... Softcore apparently has no fucking clue what she is talking about.

Warriors hold aggro fine. Just can't be a dunce.

gnome rogue definitely belongs, worst statted rogue imo.

warriors have always had problems with aggro, to a point. however the time you lose exping with a warrior because of aggro issues is made up for with the exp bonus that he subsidizes to the group.

and at 50 it isn't really an issue anymore.

Dark elves have worse rogue stats. And the exp bonus is so so so slight it won't help in the least.

compare a 10% warrior bonus to a 68% deficit with a troll sk. it makes a huge difference. warriors level up literally twice as fast. when that bonus is distributed to the group it means a 16% increase in the amount of exp the party receives when compared to a troll sk.

now tell me that receiving literally 16% more exp per kill is not worth having to root a mob or two now and then.

Where are you getting 16%? I don't know how the math works, but I assumed the % bonus would be divided by the number of party members.

EDIT: oh, compared to SK.

Of course, if you can afford to twink your warrior agro isn't as much of a problem. But I did level to my 30s on blue99, and even extremely twinked warriors could not hold agro over monks/rogues, from what I saw.

And the 10% is very slight when grouped, yes.
