Mages' AoEs are fire based which is a no go with skyfire mob's heavy fire resists.

Yes, if you want to AE in another zone that should work just fine.

That was good times. I don't remember exactly but I want to say I got around 7 percent exp at 59.

Mage didn't fit in AE groups until LDoN (which only released their second PBAE, the first one only doing appx 100~200 dmg).

used to aoe sec pretty often on live whit my mage tbh.. and the pbaoe does 608

mages have an aoe, it does plenty of dmg. the issue is that it is fire based, it doesn't have the wizard resist modifier and it is not mana efficient enough for skyfire. hell, you could probably even make it work in skyfire if you brought an extra mage or two to dps out of group. but with only 2 mages, it's not enough dmg on its own to burn down a stack.

I really miss the skyfire groups. I feel sorry for those aspiring wizards out there who have to level up the old fashioned way.

Because Chardok AOE is o-so-bad... And I personally still EXP via Skyfire AoE on occasion.
