About Erykah Badu: It's chill stuff, but doesn't grab me by the balls the same way Sylvia (Pillow Talk!) or Lauryn Hill (The 'dirty mattress' rhyme is unfuckingtouchable) do.
I can def. see myself listening to Sylvia in the near future. Good stuff. And Lauryn Hill is class.

Spongebob and Plankton - FUN song. Makes me laugh everytime I listen to it.

But I'm mainly a big classic rock guy, anything by Led Zeppelin is fantastic, Pink Floyd is amazing. Just wondering though, anyone out there ever hear the song Little Wing? Love this version:

But, yeah, anything classic rock I'll listen too.

You've probably heard this version, but I like it coz it's more raw than his other studio versions.

Jimi Hendrix = total win. I tried to get my high school principal to play his version of Star Spangled Banner for my graduation. Instead, it was the marching band [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

I agree though, easily one of my top ten songs.

Even after talking with folks from Montreal, I never really understood the whole Quebec sovereignty movement.

Really high on John Butler Trio lately... Seen him a few times but was really cool seeing him solo at Rothbury last year.

It's amazing to me that one guitarist can make this sound: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZZd3BQgFpo8

Can't wait to see him at redrocks with the trio, and medeski, martin, & wood.

Anytime Led Zeppelin comes up in a music conversation I feel obligated to throw Blind Willie Johnson's name out there. I listened to plenty of Zeppelin growing up, and personally felt kinda taken for a ride the first time I heard Jesus Make Up My Dying Bed. Physical Graffiti - 1975, Blind Willie Johnson - 19fucking20s!! The members themselves were intimately familiar with their blues roots, and it's so incredibly peculiar how so many fans either don't like or simply don't know of that inspirational material.

African diaspora ftw
