Dark elves in plate in general look pretty cool. Human monks tend to look pretty good. Barbarians look pretty cool. Really it's all personal preference.. These models may not be shiny and new but it doesn't mean they can't look cool

Just starting out in Everquest again and I have to say that it's really hard to get re-adjusted to the old style character models. I guess I'm kinda vain at heart, but I feel that it's important to be proud of your character's look, especially if you're going to be dedicated to it for a long period of time.

First I thought maybe a big, ogre warrior would be a cool idea... then I found out that even at end game decked out with full plate armor they still just look like babies in pajamas. Trolls aren't much better, and they run like they're trying to hold in a loaf between their butt cheeks while dashing to the toilet.

Human females have all the charisma of a woman made of legos, and female high elves look like someone forgot to draw in most of their face, etc.


So I guess my question is... what types of character(s) do YOU think look good in Everquest? Any particular favorites? Any that you absolutely hate?

I like all of the old models in EQ really. They are my favorite models of any game that I've played too at that rate.

The only one I really never liked was the Half Elf, always found it funny how everyone thought that they were the sexy looking race. I think they add some nice variety, but I'd never make one myself.

Old models > "new" models

The luclin models ruined the game more or less. Especially the ogres and trolls were ruined. Ogres looked like fat gimps with the black make up around their eyes and little "cute" teeth sticking out. Trolls looked just weird with their long faces and muscly bodies posing - and the animations were totally horrible and choppy.

Wood Elves or Dark Elves both look appealing so between the two of them you could cover a wide variety of classes. Half Elves have very attractive faces as well, just have the short hairdo.
