Honest question: What's stopping you Red99 fanatics from just turning in your Tome of Order and Discord today and PvPing on the original server?
I've thought about this a bit and only really came up with two ideas.
1) Clean start
2) So you can "fight" over camps and spawns
1) Do you think there will be any fewer cheaters on Red99 than there is here? From everything I've been reading cheating is more prevalent on PvP servers than anywhere else. If this server is going to be administered by the same people running Blue99 are you actually expecting different results?
2) Is there actually going to be enough people to even compete for spawns on Red99? If you had similar prime-time numbers to Blue99 sure, but I'm thinking you won't.
Why not just turn in your books and duke it out now, as-is? Just a little tired of the same 15 people on the forums only ever having Red99 related material flying out of their pie-holes.

Did you miss the memo from Rogean where he tracked down and banned cheaters? He has a nice solution to that problem already. Besides that, most red players are used to dealing with it and things being unfair. Killing some MQ abuser just made it all the more satisfying for me (obviously not an option on blue servers).
PoD books flag you as FFA to anyone, and cannot be healed by other players. The difference between blue (PoD books and all) and red servers = night and day.
70'ish people online concurrent is the minimum for things to be competitive, and this server pop will dwarf that. After the initial spike I would expect Red99 to hover around 40% of the P1999 number. This will be an overall gain for the devs here in terms of how many people are playing on their servers, even if P1999 takes an initial minor hit from curious bluebies jumping ship to red.
