I played on a compy that couldn't run EQ for crap for the longest time. Not quite during the pre-Velious era, but submitting for the lulz.

EDIT: Found s'more. I played for many years with clip plane set to 0 lest my PC suffer convulsions. I had been raising it to max only to take screenshots when soon enough, found it resulted in silly things. Unaltered shots taken just before said compy died.

Or how Resil and a mate got stuck in Guk traps,spending their time getting drunk till we got a raid (yeah a raid of 25 people lvl 15-25) to save them...
Or a spider made wall over velketor cause the monk fell on the pull from Eyes FDed and went up again, with all Velk's in his tail,the spiders didnt find the way, so they climbed up the walls...
