Also anyone who was afraid of AI or thought we should ban it should appologize.
.
Not afraid of the AI - but most certainly afraid of:

-companies rolling out undercooked LLMs that provide misinformation to the general public, most of which are not capable of realizing they are being misinformed

-those same undercooked AI replacing entry level jobs, furthering unemployment concerns

Don't worry. What's happening now wasn't even on the Republican party's radar screen during the last administration (their words) where Steve Mnuchin as U.S. Treasury secretary said a report that AI could replace up to 40% of jobs by 2037 exaggerated what was likely "50 to 100 more years away."

Do you use self check out?

Do you think we need labor imported to do low paying jobs?

Answer: if yes you’re a hypocrite.

Shouldn't I want people other than myself to have/receive as little money as possible?

And if it exits the economy, all the better.

It's crazy that the entire human species is waiting for 1 anomalous mutated brain to grow up, follow a path that leads to, and has the drive to come up with the solution.

Like, we're tribal species, so we think it's a "we" thing. But there's been 1 shakesphere in 2000 years.

There's been 1 einstein since the invention of mathmatics.

There's been 1 steve jobs and we use 1 phone that everyone else copies.

its just crazy to me that all of our futures, the direction our entire species goes, is contingent on some 3 year old not getting run over by a bus and inventing a process that we decide we can't live without or changes the way we do everything.
that + simulation theory is pretty funny.

we're just matrix pod people in a computer running on some infinite monkey theorem shakespeare shit in hopes one of us figures the thing out that the "people" running the simulation are after.

that's why i say fuck math and play everquest instead, i ain't gonna help the alien/machine/other humans(?) find their car keys, fuck them.

At least now that people are getting over their religious fit about Ai being the devil, video games can use it and we can get sick ass deeply interactive cities in roleplaying games and experience the drama of crushing an NPCs in game soul by executing his in game family in front of him just to make a point.

having AI in GTA 7? i assume break the fourth wall and start screaming and crying they're sentient beings why are you doing this to me is gonna be quite the thing to have exist.

gonna be like that comical scene in robocop 2 with the fucked up robocops.

dude just gonna turn to camera and say, "yeah we still got some bugs to work out with the conversational AI going off the rails, we're pretty sure they aren't actually sentient also, we hope."

I feel like there's a mass delusion going on that AI is useful. It's Microsoft Clippy with lipstick on.

there's mass delusion on both sides, people with the artistic ability of a retarded kindergartener calling everything slop and inventing new slurs and on the other end where people are saying it's their best friend/lover/therapist or God.

at least the ceo bullshiting about how useful it's going to be is doing so because his literal job depends on it lol and the longer that lie goes the more time he has to dump stock.

reality is in the middle somewhere.

it's going to eliminate jobs and it's going to create them and that's okay, the prisoner's dilemma arms race with machine learning attached to weapon systems bullshit, is going to get us all killed though.

It is extremely useful, I've had it walk me through lots of things that I had no idea how to do.
it being a tutor with infinite patience has been invaluable to me.
