The general idea isn't bad, but it comes years after the fact, too the point of being needless, much like the restriction on bards kiting indoors.
I'd wager at this point if they even bothered it is most likely because it was a fair number of petitions still.

The captain is easily tankable on a level 46, honestly a small raid of 46s should be able to handle the encounter so I see no valid reason why they should be gatekept from a level appropriate (in terms of attainability) item.

Actually, I may have been thinking 52 - I have definitely done it on SK and Warrior at these levels, but it was so trivial, it may be doable earlier as above, though I can't even recall if I have actually done it. I think I did on my green war though.

Well yeah - if you win the roll and you can gather your own force - who cares what level... But that's not how scout has typically worked on Green. Typically it's a rag-tag group of level 55-60s that can barely handle the kill as is.

It's a bad class that doesn't benefit from AC gains. A well-geared 39 rogue would probably do as well.

I can't believe you guys are still doing commie scoufs. I liked it when people would win and sell it for 15k. And then you could go live your life on a regular timer. That rotating 10 hour window was impossible to keep up with in my experience. This and Spirit Wracked made these servers uniquely awful to play on.

Sometimes you can just skip the hassle and settle for second best in slot.

One of the best lessons everquest teaches is the need of other people. It doesn't matter how powerful you are individually, you will never be as powerful as a group of friends working together. The greed of pixels ultimately drives you to the correct choice.
