![]() Barring certain classes and situations, the game rewards mana regeneration, not deep mana pools. In fact, almost every game does, in a way. Its why Overhealth/Overshielding in any game is so strong, despite those abilities only adding +5%/10%, and for a short period of time.
If it counted for anything AND you could measure it, you could outplay a significantly better-geared player by gearing for HP and (somewhat) ignoring mana pool. From 35+, your mana pool is effectively X + (350) + (350) + (350) + (350) + (350) - multiple times more value than any +WIS/+mana for a 1k consumable. But only if youre not dumb.

![]() I've never thought about it as a mana battery, but I often times keep my Shaman's pet out for emergency mana moreso than for the extra DPS. Referring to grouping situations obviously. In solo situations, particularly while leveling, Shaman pet is pretty useful for DPS and tanking. Between Shaman haste and slow, she performs a lot better than yall would expect.
