Went well overall but a couple problems. First that she was pretty bad, which is really tough if I’m also not good. See if the dude is good…country dancing is entirely the guy “leading”, so a really skilled dancer can drag the girl around in ways where she just has to conform. And she ends up looking good doing it But I can’t do that yet, so I had to spend an inordinate amount of time trying to just get her on the fast fast, slow slow rhythm. We basically had to go half speed because most country songs are too fast for beginners. And in the meantime she’s in her slick soled cowboy boots stomping the shit out of my poor ring-finger toe on my right foot. And I’m in black soft tennis shoes because I’m not going to buy some $150 shitkicker cowboy boots. Although man I wish I had a cowboy hat because every dude looks good in a cowboy hat I could tell it wasn’t me because this old guy came over and tried to coach her using hands behind the back steps. Both people just put their hands behind their backs as if handcuffed and look at the own and the other person’s feet. Which was a cool approach. But she is a super lightweight at ~115lbs and apparently 3 shots wrecked her, which wrecked her ability to learn. But I could compensate because I know a few spins so any time I got sick of trying to stay on the beat with her I could spin the shit outta her till she was dizzy. But I felt bad because I knew how drunk she was. But she was having a blast Eventually she was so drunk she just wanted to sit against me in a chair as we try to scream simple few word sentences over the music like we’re retarded or English isn’t our first language [You must be logged in to view images.
