Its not about the doing NopeNope its all about the saying. The optics.
He may get rid of the swamp creatures, the career politcians but they will be replaced by "businessmen consultants" who have zero actual power (so are not the same... plausible deniability so to speak,) but will have the ear of the For sale President. So he can say "See, I got rid of those career criminal politicians" you just dont wanna hear that they are to be replaced by objectively a worse alternative that direct even more to specific entities. This wont help those without ears to hear or eyes to see. Goooo Sportsball team! EDIT--- In short, those with funds/the wherewithall to buy before tarrifs affect them will make bank. Especially if they are backtracked later... Smaller entities cannot frontload. (Enough to make a difference) The rich will still be richer. Wallmart etc can afford to do that. Womp gets to say "See i did what I said id do." Emptied dat swamp-a-rooney. Meanwhile the small guy gets screwed (same as before) the large concerns make bank (same as before). It takes money to make money. (Same as before). So you got what you all voted for. But do you still want what you got? Also. People saying Buy 'merican! What do you guys even make? And at what relative cost? Genuine question actually. | ||
