Maybe a dog can speak a language, that actually is a language but we just don't even think in the way they construct language to be able to understand it.

I listen to the birds in the morning, and im positive this is what they are saying:

Bird two: HUNGRY. HUNGRY WHERE FOOD. HUNGRY.

Bird three: WHERES WATER? I NEED WATER WATER. WHERE?

Bird four: PREDITOR PREDITOR PREDITOR PREDOTR HERE PREDITOR HERE

Bird one: WATER HERE. WATER. WATER HERE. WATER.

etc.

Like they are all part of a society, and helping each other with their want's and needs, the same way we do.

It's more symbolic than word based. It's not like dog sounds have letter and syllable analog with etymology and all that.

We communicate this way when we use the turn signals on our cars. It's visual instead of auditory. Imagine having a vocabulary such as it is of like ten different honks on the steering wheel and different body postures or shall we say light configurations and you will begin to understand dog more. Add in smells or chemical signals and plants, insects, cats become more understandable and relatable. Etc..

They just process that in a way that makes us think they don't have any of that.

Dogs and cats can still think and plan. They can even defer gratification for greater rewards. It's just not done through a linguistic process.

And in a lot of "animals" requires habitation, training. Learning through experience...clicker training is the prompt to select from these learned in feelings and expectations so to speak for certain behaviors.

Animals aren't people. Butt they are part of the universe which produces people. And people are dependent on animals and are there for inseparable.

However while people may be people. People are still also animals and still prone to exactly all the fundamental aspects of animal behavior and conditioning. It takes exceptional genetics and circumstances to become aware of and gain some measure of meaningful control over that aspect of the so called self. Most humans are as incapable as dogs. It's also less conceptual and rational. Dog barks are impulses they drive dog feeling and impulsive behaviors. They don't really think that much how to respond to it more of a feeling and set of desires to select from that manifest from their drives.

In my scales of consciousness..

A dog would be able to think, talk, express feelings etc, but not be able to comprehend a "higher power".

But we can, and therefore, we have a soul (or so we think because we made it up).

If a dog were to ever be like, "Wow dog and god are spelled the same, and god exists in another dimension?? Dogs must turn into Gods when they die!"

It would now have a soul.
