Why are the TD raptors uncharmable?

Also too be clear.

They are reptilian and Also where probably more intelligent and social than we would traditionally be inclined to give them credit.

So while not humanoid. Still on par and different than animals. I bet the TD raptors are more sophisticated than simple instinctualism and or pack/herd mentality.

Heck the lil anoles around here irl are all very persnickity and individualistic whilst still holding tribal bonds despite having brains the size of peas.

1st of all, Raptors are not reptiles. They are more similar to Birds then they are to reptiles. All modern birds descended from Therapod dinosaurs like Raptors, T-rexs etc. Reptiles descended from a different order of dinosaurs. Even so, this is pointless, because druids being nature priests, it would make sense for the spells to be able to land on any kind of non-humanoid creatures. Obviously not undead or elemental types, but pretty much anything else that is not a sapient lifeform.

I'm arguing that the lizard birbs aren't only self aware butt also use reason aka they where smart enough to use an island near the wiz portal as a bind point aka sapient also g-d only knows what they are upto in the universe when they are not just chillin at their bind point.

Okay. Strange argument, but I guess I see what you're trying to convey. I'm not arguing from that classically the game should be this way, only that would make more lore sense if it were this way, but it is whatever I guess. Place sucks to xp at anyway, just kind of makes no sense that way that it is right now.
