I'm playing an exiled iksar shaman that moved over to Antonica/Odus/Faydwer at level one and I was mostly self found but in my late 20's I cheated and bought a couple things from the tunnel. I've been trying to solo up Halas faction which is a long process and I'm still working on it. I failed at using an illusion and shrink to hand in gnoll fangs but on the plus side the illusion worked on the shaman GM and I finally got to train med and dodge way past the normal level you receive them. Not complaining, I was happy to train them. Four months in and I can use the Halas bank and I'm almost to doubtful with the guards/warriors. Then I'll be able to finally work on my smithing skill and move past Warrens level gear. It's a nice diversion while waiting for the new server and I just might recreate this adventure on the new server when Kunark arrives.

Rogue is the worst by far. Warrior can handle all a rogue can handle and then a lot more because of HP and berserker and stuff.
All the hybrids are easy and fun. Not efficient like a necro or even a Druid or shaman but totally capable. Monks are like warriors but better because you can FD

Available soloable weapons make warrior considerably easier than rogue. For SSF in classic era, the rogue is going to be limited to Dragoon Dirk/Jambiya for a long time. Warriors can get Axe of the Slayers at a pretty low level.
Hardest race is debatable, it's basically between gnome and DE for weakest stats. I went with bertox gnome on my SSF rogue. That gnome warrior that streams is not era-limited btw. Access to things like Swiftclaw Sash, revamped RE loot, etc changes a lot.

Honestly I love everything about the "exiled character tries to make friends in the wider world" character background, very similar to my own head canon.
Sometimes I've daydreamed about the reverse, a character maxing all those useless NPC factions like Runnyeye and Karana Bandits by killing hundreds of halfling mothers etc.

You can even max blackburrow faction.
Unfortunately, maxing Mistmoore faction doesn't do crap - that would actually be cool if you cold walk MM not KoS.

So if you kill enough Mail Quest Bards to get Dubious with AgentsOfMistmoore they all still attack you? [You must be logged in to view images. Really different old world experience without living in fear of hordes of invisible super-fast hyper aggressive damage-shielded mobs. Might have to roleplay an Unkempt Druid at some point and begin killing townspeople To Protect The Bears

No quest or mob raises AgentsOfMistmoore. All race/class/deity combos are forever KoS in MM. I think my bard or one of my characters is dubious to shadowed men. I killed some SolRo quest mobs just to get the faction for fun.
