Pretty much. If we are asked to set a surname, we want it to be RP.

Some previous staff have set surnames that don't follow that guideline so you may find some outliners.

Players need to remember, there's a lot more of you then there are at us, forename and surname changes are generally at the bottom of the list for Guides unless it's obscene.

Whitelists are much easier to maintain than blacklists. To block xXDonkeyXx someone would have to watch all new names, whereas to prevent xXDon'keyXx the one GM just needs to say "hell no" when the guy petitions.

(But FWIW, I too wish we had the staff resources to have a classic name policy here.)
