Of course with the addition of AA's over the many years I really did forget just how hard a warrior has it until I came back to this server.

I re made my warrior a Wood elf, then deleted him and went Gnome. Spamming taunt will never ensure you have agro, in my experience it will only reset any decent amount of agro you have just built up. Mind you this one has always been debated over the many years.

There are many many more I have no doubt...

Peace.

Successful taunt when you are not on top of the NPC hate list = moves you one point higher in hate above whoever was at the top of the list.

Successful taunt when you are already at the top of the hate list = only give you +1 point of hate.

That's my recollection anyways.

Instead of the OP complaining that warriors work here the same way they did on EQLive 12 years ago, perhaps he should play a different game or try a different tank class in exchange for the outrageous xp penalty those tank classes incur.

Prior to AA's and disciplines, it was tricky to hold aggro against monks, rogues and yes, rangers, to say nothing of errant casters. Aggro control is the responsibility of everyone in the warrior's group/raid. If the warrior is playing correctly then others need to do the same.

Best weps you can get on a warrior low 50s without having to buy them, rog epic fights in steamfont and kithicor drop 2 nice weps for threat, and they dont cost a penny. So find a rog doing his epic and join him for steamfont renux fight and general in kithicore, skean and the yak scimitar holdup well on threat.
