![]() my experience on red so far has been... platinum and items given to me without begging, druids buffing potg without asking, druids PLing our groups without asking, anyone within range gladly grouping regardless of the composition.
very nice community on red99 imo. this is my 2nd play through since my main was deleted a long time ago. there are rarely low level PKs. whats the worst thing that happens? someone kills you and most likely it turns into a positive reaction after that and you learn something. just dont /ooc your level and location when lfg and the chances of a PKer is even lower. if you're continually harassed, ask for some help in /ooc or take a break. it's really not a huge deal. at lvl 60 it's an even better experience. people who play carebear servers and are bored of the never ending grind would find some unique fun on pvp server. it adds a more social aspect to the game and truly offers more depth to eq. if there ever is a new red99, imo teams would be cool as it potentially pits low level twinked PKers against each other and allows for a "somewhat" safer feeling

![]() I've thought about playing on Red.
Considering the population, should I think about rolling a class in terms of what may be needed for raiding or what's effective in PVP?

![]() lvls 1-9 went by in 1 hour because i happened to join 2 others in same time... lvls 10-11 took about 2 hours of soloing... lvls 11-17 took about 1 hour from another group and some buffs.
so to answer your question, someone who can solo because if there are no groups then its tough. additionally, imo halflings are best starter race because druids use RV a lot and can buff... but that's really only relevant for 1-16 or so. probably anything except war, rog, or monk imo for starter class

![]() Agreed with Surron. You can AFK level a warrior killing one mob and waiting for HP to come back with an egg timer but it’s kinda crappy. Monk can do this too. Rogue is hardest class because they get to the point where they can’t one on one faster.
Be the class that will be fun for you.

![]() New PVP server should be teams.
Instead of allowing character creation it is populated entirely by /testcopy characters from the current Green and Blue servers. Your origin server determines the team of your character.

![]() Yeah reds a great solo PvE server
You really don't need to worry about PvP,since noone is around to PvP with It's just even more of a blue server, don't even need to compete over any camps

![]() I just want to chime in real quick, the most fun I ever had PvPing was when Twisting Nether (PvP/RP) opened on WoW (back in the day, not recent) and everyone was leveling at their own pace. My guild and a few others (horde side) when we were all around level...I want to say 30? went and raided Darkshire. We were not much of a match for the guards (if I remember the levels correctly) but we ended up with almost the entire server both factions in this one area pushing against one another and just tallying kills.
Suffice to say, I'd be down for a new PvP teams server (though I have no idea how feasible that is)

![]() I would probably play a teams based pvp server-- make it racial based. Though that leaves the baddies in a pretty rough spot with no druids ;/
