Get yourself some heating/cooling gel compression bands for recovery. I got a good one for my ankle after I broke it and it really really helped. I’m actually wearing it right now cuz I’m a dumbass and apparently fell off my bike while riding home from a friends bday party blacked out drunk. Fucking Netherlands lol.
I also now swear by my electric foot bath. Not sure if it’d help for shins specifically, but my feets love it. | ||

One of the friends I made at the gym was an older guy who came up to me as I was doing these and asked if I was practicing for sex or something (I was doing them with a 70lb dumbbell resting on my pelvic bone)
I told him they are to build glutes, that I didn’t know their name so I just call them “butt thrusts”. Then we got to chatting. He talked to me every day he was there since. Too bad he’s gone now though, hope not dead [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] | ||
