this is a fundamental issue when stacking charming classes. the damage each new charm brings in is additve, but the danger of RNGesus taking a massive dump on you is multiplied.

The response to this thread is interesting. So I asked a similar question a while back: https://www.project1999.com/forums/s...d.php?t=401101

The consensus response I got was to go with Necro/Monk/Shaman. We decided try it and made a trio of Iksars and have been doing very well. I mean, we are only level 15 because we can only get together to play a few times a moth, but so far its been solid advise. We're having a blast.

Some of the fastest XP I ever had while leveling up my cleric was 5 enchanters with charms pets and myself.

Was a lot of fun, no free time to AFK or anything, but the xp and loots, like gems etc were fantastic, until the wipe we had, HAHA. 2 charm pet breaks, very close together, which killed the chanter, then they ate another chanter, causing more un charmed pets to eat another enchanter until we all died in 10-15 seconds, was a blast and great P99 memory.

I agree with OP, Enc/Dru/Clr snap pick. Spawn timers are stupid long in everquest, with enough DPS you'll outpace the monster spawns around you so having additional DPS is fuckin pointless. What isn't pointless is being able to be wherever you want to be whenever you want to be there and having a permanent SoW / snare bot. Makes trio'ing dungeons a breeze since you never have to worry about fleeing mobs training bullshit onto you.

Any moment you're all just sitting there waiting for respawns is DPS you didn't need.

Enc/Dru/Clr is super strong but none of those classes are even remotely fun to gear out.
I would think enc/dru/monk would be way more fun in the long run and also extremely strong. greaing out the monk at least would be something for your team to work on in addition to everyone's epics. Fungi/tstaff/CoF are all attainable with the appropriate amount of pp grinding or great luck.

This would be really fun I'm sure. I mostly duo'd my necro into the 50s with my brother's shaman. The duo has excellent synergy. Adding a monk in would be awesome. All that passive iksar regen for 3 classes that would make good use of it too.
