Rez tells - Page 2

I'm always straight up about it and usually just send tells to cleric in EC or someone I know, asking someone to leave Sebilis or something is just stupid.

I offer generally between 100p and 200p depending on the rez amount and time it really takes to get to body. I would offer more but I do a pickup and port to location and offer a port afterwards.

Even if its a rez where I drag the body to someone hanging out in the same zone I give them some plat.

I remember on live I made a killing off of rezes. But people begging for rezes became a nuisance. Someone would offer like 200pp and arrange a port so I could go rez them in South Karana, but it just wasn't worth my time to stop what i was doing to go rez some guy in SK when i already had made a few hundred plat rezes early that day.

Then they wouldn't understand why I wouldn't take this opportunity to make an easy 200pp and get all pushy like this guy. Y U NO REZ?

After sending tells to the Clerics in zones they wouldn't be xping in, I'll send tells to any Cleric [with sufficient rez powah] who shows up in /who. Sometimes there are no other Clerics available and it's better to try all options than give up.

But I never get pushy, and I always try to break off with a well-wishing. No reason to make enemies who wont help me in the future, even if they can't help me now.

Exactly, even aside from not being a dick I don't know why you would curse out someone who might be able to help you in the future. If someone says sorry they can't rez I tell them no worries, thanks for the resposne.

I remember early on in the beginning there were only 2 clerics with the ability to 90% rez. They were very generous and both made rounds to sola, solb, and guk and just mass rezzed people. But when my corpses got to like 5 days old I'd begin to WORRY and hound poor zexa or bubbles. And by hound I mean ask politely but a lot, cuz pathing wasn't so pro yet and you'd die to gigantic trains caused by mobs falling through the floor or something like 4 times a day. One time zexa rezzed 7 corpses in a row. I got through a hell level that way.

Now with a plethora of clerics, I'd never bother one in Seb or any place else that they might be grouped.

If they are LFG, AFK, or just kinda running around, I will send a tell "Paying for Rez." If they're in another zone, I'll just do a pick-up. But honestly, if you can't find one, either log and come back another time or just eat the exp loss even though that sucks at times.

Reputation is most important on a low population server. Be nice to others, really, because it could turn around and bite you in the ass.

I had someone send me a tell LF port to WC yesterday. I told him I could do Nek only. He then calls me a "noob" for not being able to port to Nek, as if everyone and their mama can do ports now. I said that HE was the noob (even though he was 58-59) and that he should learn how to read. I wasn't anon or /rol and my level was clearly displayed as not yet 39. He got more pissy because he knew he was wrong and started criticizing my guild.

So I sent a nice little tell to the GL of his lovely guild and put a black mark on his trial period. Being nice goes a LONG way; being an ass bites you there.

When I was playing Meepo and doing Seafuries I was absolutely bewildered at the mass amount of clerics who'd take the trip out to OOT for 4/500 plat to rez my sorry ass.

oh also, i'm gonna tell ya the legend of NiNiKs generosity is not overstated. When I first started reading the forums I was like "wow big fucking deal.. some gnome cleric tosses rezzes for free someone alert the internet"

and then ninik boated to OOT and rez'd my wife's corpse when her charm failed on a seafury and I was across the ocean @ Allize. just showed up after apparently very few tells, rez'd, handed cookies out and bounced.

Ninik, you're really something else.
