Not sure that is the total reason. Look at Nord Stream 2. It was to be Germanys way to bypass Ukraine and not have to pay their exorbitant transport fees for the gas they were already buying from Russia.

Very interesting. Seems like a good hedge (by the Germans) to ensure they are neither wholly dependant on either party.

I saw on Youtube, so eat your spoon of salt now; but I saw on Youtube, the Ukraine had discovered oil deposits some years ago but could never afford to develop them due to their central economy.

So BP and the boys got invited in and the work was begun to harvest it but Russia took a mad to it and bad stuff happened and now it's now and I don't know what happened next.

Slava Ukraini, wish I didn’t have a wife. I’d go join the Ukrainians

I’d probably be useless at this point. I’m 5’10” and good with a rifle and in shape but Ukrainians are 6’6” Neanderthals who run in front of tanks before they’d let their land be taken by Putin, an uncircumcised midget. In America, I’m 99 percentile masculine. In Ukraine probably only like 25th

/shrug, I could help them extract their oil though!!!

Top women cyclists who have helped Great Britain to historic triumphs face losing their team places after a trans woman announced she would now compete in female events. Team pursuit is the flagship event for British female cycling, and Ms Bridges could now challenge for a place with the national team.

Before coming out as trans, Ms Bridges set the Junior Men's national record for 25 miles in 2018 with a time of just over 47 minutes – two minutes faster than the current national record for adult women.

Critics have drawn comparisons with Lia Thomas, an American trans swimmer who recently beat silver Olympic medallist Emma Wayent in a women's 500-yard freestyle race in Atlanta.
