Dark n' Stormys are super delicious.

* 2 ounces dark rum
* 3 ounces ginger beer
* 1/2 ounce lime juice

The only straight up liqour I truly appreciate is Hendricks Gin. Everything else needs to be mixed or taken as a shot. That said, Hendricks gin with a few thin slices of cucumber(yes cucumber), and a splash of tonic, on the rocks is the ultimate drink for just kicking back.

I love Gin and Tonic.

My favorite is Hendrick's gin and any decent tonic.

Protip: Swap out the lime wedge for a cucumber slice.

Ya I actually like these. Sorta girly but a nice changeup when rum&coke (my go to drink) has gotten stale.

Anyway since this thread is about GETTING RIPPED 4 CHEAP:

I'm going to kind of cheat here, but the best way would be to drink your own brew. My brother-in-law does this and brews all kinds of crazy stuff.

My college dorm life was dominated by Miller High Life, and those gigantic plastic jugs of california red wine. Can't imagine lowering my standards to either of those now, but it did the trick. Lot of JD too. $2 long islands at the bar.

For a time, I was drinking Steel Reserves (that's malt liquor bros) when I wanted the fastest dirtiest drunk you can get. God forbid I drink that kind of shit now. I also tried 4loko once.

I don't really drink cheaply (or as much) now. I think the bottle of sake I got at the azn market last weekend is the "cheapest" stuff I've bought in a while.

Bourbon: Eagle Rare 10yr is the best thing you can get under $35/bottle imo. Any of the buffalo trace antiquities collections (George T Stagg, William larue weller, etc) are all amazing if you want to spend some cash, as is pappy van winkle 15yr if you can find it.

Single malt: Aberlour a'bunadh is my favorite here. I like speyside malts with relatively low peatiness. Preferably something finished in sherry barrels. I also have a thing for Glenlivet Nadurra because it tastes so clean. I've never found a good cheap scotch. The cheapest thing i'll drink here is macallan 10 or 12.

Blended: Crown XR if you're dropping dough. Fourty Creek is good for the cheap stuff

Irish: Bushmills black is my favorite of the "cheaper" irish whiskies that i've tried, but I tend to pick another beverage if i have the choice.

Grab a bottle of Mots or any other 100% apple juice (100% with NO PRESERVATIVES). Get a little pack of regular yeast and a cup of sugar. Dump some of the juice to make room for the extra stuff. Pour in the sugar and the yeast. Replace the cap and shake real well.

Now loosen up the cap a bit. Store in a dark, warm place for a 3 to 4 days.

Enjoy!
