This is the video that causes confusion. That yahoo article is also a bit suspect. Most of the firearms seized have some sort of qualification to it.

"Handgun (Alberts was arrested after the riot was over, at 7:25 p.m., on a street near the Capitol and was accused of having a firearm.)"

"Multiple firearms (Coffman is not charged with being on Capitol grounds; allegedly had two guns on his person, plus firearms in his truck parked on 1st Street SE in Washington D.C.)"

"Firearms (Meredith arrived in Washington after the riot was over but was charged with having three guns in his possession.)"

Two just say firearm and handgun.

My personal favorite "Skateboard"

If you want to hang your hat on this article, go right ahead but anyone with a grain of credibility can see that this is hardly a slam dunk on the claim that this was some uber violent armed insurrection.
In July, the Justice Department charged Mark Ibrahim of California with bringing a gun onto Capitol grounds. He was on leave at the time from his job as a special agent with the Drug Enforcement Administration and didn’t have permission to be at the Capitol; he’d previously put in a resignation notice. He posed for photos flashing his government-issued firearm, according to his charging papers. During a voluntary interview with the Justice Department’s inspector general’s office in March, he acknowledged having his gun and his DEA badge but denied displaying them.

Its buzzfeed so the images the rioters took of themselves and the other images of the guys packing guns, axes, tomahawks, knifes, and bats etc were all photoshopped or "agitators"

They thought they were going to be pardoned and rewarded for their heroic action lol. If they didnt think that, why do they keep saying "we thought we were the good guys" during the police interviews? Oh I know, must not have happened unless you were in the room when they said it to the police. We know..

Around 2000 people there in total right?

Of course there has to be some guns. What surprises me is how many tomahawks. Is everyone there just a huge fan of the Patriot movie or what?

Also disappointed in the lack of more rare weapons. No halberds? No flails that you better not miss with or it hits you?

Next time us traitors decide to topple the US government, I’m gonna be the guy there with a flail who’s all battered to shit by his own weapon

Seriously, I expected like some long swords, claymores and shit, some kind of chopping weapons, crusader kit type stuff.. I think the reason they didnt bring those large weapons is because thats so overt. =[

Next time, you know what to do. Get a halberd you can take down into three pieces THEN assemble it after the riot starts. Same with a dragon slaying spear or the sword from <insert movie here> like conan or something.. Gonna take to be able to conceal it or the element of surprise will be lost.

2000 that attacked the building and grounds.

The main crowd looked like the biggest mass of screeching apes I've ever seen.

150 officers injured, oof. Couple eyes lost, couple heart attacks from the stress. Its their fault though. They should have known that people were going to throw flag poles and spray mace in their eyes when they were ambushed. They should have received an EKG on jan 5th to know the condition of their hearts so they wouldnt suffer heart attacks at work, too. Its easy to make up bullshit excuses.

Having guns is not the same as having guns so it didnt happen.. Wasnt as bad as they say. So what if a guy tried to stop the next president from taking power with the green bay sweep and a dumb ass riot to distract from the failure of the plan.

If I get fired and you get hired in my place, i'll just stop the HR dept from processing your paperwork with a riot. If people die, they die. They should have known there was gonna be a riot at their job. If I bring a gun, hey as long as i dont actually shoot anyone its not a big threat.

I’ve always wanted to cosplay as pyramid head and since Comic-Con does not allow real weapons of any sort and may not ever exist again in its original form due to covid, I think the next insurrection may be my best chance [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Wow, a piece of paper with some words on it.. I guess since the police did this in the past, it must have been done to your pals.

I guess they were all hypnotized by that agitators. All 1000 of them at once, told to march, they marched.

I dont see "smear shit everywhere" in there. I dont see "beat the fucking shit out of 150 cops" either.
