If you're telling the truth man I feel sorry for you the story is just a little bit absurd.

If it is true and the GMs aren't nice to you, I'd exact revenge on your "brother's friend" by:

1) Taping saran wrap right under his toilet seat so his #1's and #2's get reflected right back in his face (like a Damage Shield)

2) Replace half his shampoo with bleach. Over time his hair will start getting really fucked up and may start falling out if you do this long enough

3) Jam pennies inbetween the door jam and the wall of his bedroom/house door (any door that opens inwards into his room) while he is in there. Listen to him freak to fuck out. Bonus points if he ends up jumping out a second story window-

4) ? ? ?

4) The Upper Tank: Hopefully you do not live with the offender. Brew up a nasty shit, go to the offenders bathroom. Remove the top tank lid and do your business in the upper tank. When your pal goes to flush later in the day, hilarity will ensue.

This is actually referred to as an 'upper deck' unless two people do it, then it is referred to as a 'double decker'

Brother stories = $$$. It's the original 'I got caught and need a good excuse to clear my name' story! So much better than 'I was drunk/high' or 'cat jumped on the keyboard'.

Hello there, My account with the character Vashti Bunyan (Druid level 49) and the monk Whisper ( Monk level 40 ) Were banned recently for alleged two boxing.
I have my account information on a small notepad on my desk at home. To my surprise, my brothers friend took down the information. ( says my brother ) and later used my character to port him and his friends. I believe this is what resulted in my ban and this has broken my heart.. I love everquest, I love project 1999 and I love to do everything in my power to enhance the servers experience. If you could please consider my appeal.. I've tried my best to get my characters the reputation, and the belongings they have. ( I will also kick the little shit out of my house, and put up my account information.. ) I had no idea any of his friends played here.

Thank you.

You're out of line.

Some people just choose to write out their passwords - particularly people who make 10+ character long passwords which don't follow dictionary patterns and don't make the password the same for everything they use online.

It's actually a quite elegant system - hackers have access to anything you put a weak password on (or a company with weak security, i.e. Sony), not the piece of paper on your desk or in your drawers.

I don't personally write them out, but because I use my myriad of passwords daily, i'm memorized them. But I wouldn't fault someone else for doing it.

Edit: But yeah, other than that, the story is kind of fishy...

He assumed that everyone does as he does which is probably play one account with a simple to remember password which he uses on all of his online stuff.

I don't believe the story at all.. He got caught porting his monk around or something and is banned. Simple enough.
