I was there for Velious launch, although I wasn't into the raiding scene at the time. I enjoyed the ring quest series, although I don't think I did it until an expac or two later. Then again, my memory is shot and the timeline is all jumbled in my head.

How tough is it to awake the sleeper anyways? Do you have to kill all 4 (I think it's 4?) warders at once or something? Or is it that the last warder is just that tough to kill in the first place? I get that with the warders up, the keeper stays asleep, but aren't the warders killed as regular raid targets too?

I don't know crap about raiding in Velious, so just curious how it worked. I remember killing Lord Doljionoinoinoin, and a little in a wing of ToV, but that's about it.

3 of the warders are pretty much pushovers. The last one (I want to say Ventani) is a huge pain in the arse and took folks a relatively long time to come up with a strategy for originally. Now tons of people know the two ways she was originally killed so it'll be hardish still, but not "hard".

IMO the hard part about sleepers tomb is getting people keyed up for it. Sontalak, Klandicar, Zlandicar, Tormax, Lendiniara and Yelinak (I think that's all) all drop the pieces you can turn in for ST keys, but they're really spread out and in a high competition environment like this server, they'll all get swarmed immediately on popping.

Lord Vyemm in NTOV, AoW and the vulak ring are both harder than anything in sleepers tomb based on my recollection.

Vulak ring is not classic...

One of my favorite things that my old guild did in Velious was NToV. On one clear, we engaged the dragon that has the huge knockback. The MT positioned the mob in such a way that it blew half of the raid into the lava lake. I laughed so hard at that. Good times...

Velketor also dropped key piece iirc.

Ventani was the "hard" warder. AE'd a Slow/DD proc in addition to silence.
Strat is to have clerics/healers levitate under the bridge out of sight so Silence will not touch them. He isn't that hard. This is also the warder that drops the Salindrite Dagger and monk robe. This isn't the shitty one to leave up IMO.

Hra drops the SoD and has a Fire spinstun DoT.

Tuk drops the Gnome mask. His only AE is the silence iirc.

I forget the black/purple phara dar looking dragons name but it is a top slot buff dispell and Fire DD. When I pharmed the shit out of these on Al'kabor this is the one we always left up.

3 of the Warders are all about the same. As mentioned above, one of them is harder by quite a bit, but now that there's lots of strats, she wont be to hard. She's usually the one people left up, so that the sleeper didnt wake up. The respawn on most of ST was kinda long the way I remember it. Like a week. The warders dont have to be killed at the same time. The Warders are what keep the sleeper, asleep. If at any time you kill all 4 warders, the sleeper wakes up (he's not even targetable before that).

ST is a great place to gear up, primals and such, but getting enough keys to get a raid force in there will take some time. I'd guess if ST launches with Velious, it'll be 6 weeks before the first ST gear shows up.

How difficult is it to take down one warder? Are we going to see the same rush for them like we see for all the raid mobs currently?

No because you have to farm ST keys. Unless ST isn't launched when Velious is and it takes forever for it to come out.
