Red is daunting to start on because of the raid geared characters. I'd like to see a rolling red server that threw all characters into blue or green and relaunched every 2-3 months tbh. I think starting the server in any era or with only classic or with time-gated expansions at 2-4 weeks would be fine.

But the gear is sort of a deal breaker for me. Stats on items simply mudflate too fast because expansion gear has to improve on previous raid gear. A short window would prevent anyone from becoming totally geared, and if they managed it they would only have a temporary advantage.

Remember when you could join the game as a monster in a random zone 1-10 zone for a couple weeks in live EQ? Don't you wish you could be a spider in Velks wiping group after group? -- consider it!

if the current people on red all want red 2.0, just wipe the server.

Teal isn't being used for anything, keep red as the museum piece and make the new red server thrive today.

just need to find a way for people to come play the perfectly fine red server we already

have

just stop being dumbasses on the forum and scaring people on how bad red is

I just think there are too many issues with Classic Everquest to make PVP viable for the average quester.

That being said, I think the EXP bonus has always been a good idea, and its sad that a GM took it away when the server was starting to expand.

Lastly, red lacks the critical mass of players required to attract more players. I think for any server to attract people to come and play, it needs to be a bare minimum of 200. Given that this is a classic server with no travel books or fast travel, the server probably needs to be closer to 300 for it to be engaging.

exp bonus was a double edged sword

server shouldn't launch with exp bonus but should get one at end of life or once it's top heavy after like 3 months or 6 months or w/e it is the wierdos swing

i don't have the time to lvl to 60 it just encourages people to bot, box, pay for lvls and loot once it becomes a year long quest to casually level

should take 3 weekends at most rly

and then no one is low lvl anymore and the nostalgia of fighting lower lvl players with bad gear in bad gear is gone

Server needs to have time locked level caps so we can really get value out of early level content. Release weekend cap at 5, first week 11, fortnight 17, etc with 39 being the cap after 6 months.
