This is correct. If there's a smaller clinic within a 30 mile radius, try that one out. My mother-in-law is a nurse practitioner and agrees that you need to have your foot looked at immediately. Sooner the better to stop the spread of infection / disease.

The ER is only concerned about bullet-holes or near-road-kills. They look at your injury as a boo-boo. Go somewhere else to be treated if your health insurance allows it.

Never had to wait longer than 25-30 mins (usually closer to 10-15 tops)...Been to the ER's here in Florida probably 7-10 times

17 hours later they finally pulled me to the back. some scrub took blood out of my arm, very poorly. My pants are covered in my own blood. Wtfux.

Doc came in. Said it looked gross. Referred me to another doc who came and pushed on shit that hurt really bad. He mentioned a bone infection. the x-ray did not indicate this, however x-rays apparently don't tell-all when it comes to bone infections. So from the blood samples they'll do one of two things:

1. Put me on antibios and let me go home

2. Admit me to the hospital and scrape the fuck out of the bone in my foot.


number two sounds pretty fucking awful. AT LEAST I HAVE MY LAPTOP.

so i went to doctor once and they said it was a bone infection but the x-ray looked funny. they biopsied it and turned out to be bone cancer.
